미국에서만 3500만장 이상의 앨범 판매고를 기록하며 80년대 후반부터 90년대 초까지

최고의 인기 밴드로 군림했던 Guns N' Roses는 Duff `Rose` McKagan,

W.Axl Rose(보컬)와 Izzy Stadlin이 Rob Gadner(드럼),Tracii Guns(기타)와

의기투합해 1985년에 LA에서 결성한 밴드...

 

잦은 멤버교체, 마약, 인종차별 등으로 자주 구설수에 오르기도 하였지만,

대중성과 음악성을 겸비하고 상업적으로 성공한 하드락의

대표적인 그룹임에는 틀림이 없다...

 

1991년 앨범 < Use Your Illusion 1>과 <Use Your Illusion 2>가 상업적으로 큰 성공을

거두었지만 90년대 초반 Nirvana를 필두로 한 얼터너티브 록 음악이 주류를 이루게 되면서

헤비메탈은 몰락의 길을 걷게 되었고, 멤버간 주도권 다툼으로 사실상 해체를 맞게 된다...

 

이 곡은 <Use Your Illusion 1>에 수록된 곡으로 뮤직비디오 업계에 대작 붐을 일으킨

작품의 하나로 카리스마 가득한 보컬 엑슬로즈의 짧고도 애절한 사랑을 줄거리로

마치 한편의 단편영화를 보는 듯한 감동을 준다.
