 60년대 british invasion에서 빼놓을 수 없는 영국 록그룹이다.
비틀즈와 함께 미국 팝음악계를 정복한 그들은 70년대에 리듬앤 블루스에서

프로그레시브 록으로 음악적 색깔을 바꾸고 76년 "The Roaring Silence"가

미국 차트에서 37주간이나 머무르는 대히트를 기록하기도 했다.

 

1972년 슈베르트의 즉흥곡 G장조 D 899번의 멜로디 일부를 차용해서 만든

아트록 발라드 넘버인 The Questions....

난 열려있는 문을 닫고 있던 사람에게 다가가서
열쇠로 문을 열며 내 안에 있는 이에게 말을 걸었죠

그들은 내 질문에 질문으로 답하면서
달이 별무늬를 새긴 채 춤을 추는 밤 속을
내게 가리키더군요
세상은 단지 빛의 스펙트럼이었던거에요

그 세상은 내 이성의 중심에 다가와서
그 곳에 있던 시금석을 꺼냈죠
빛의 충격에 난 어지러워졌고
깊은 절망에 빠져버렸어요

And all that was left was to think

열쇠로 문을 열며 앉아서
내 안에 있는 이에게 얘기했죠
그들은 내 질문에 질문으로 답하면서
