미국 텍사스 출신. 어린시절 멕시칸 전통음악을 연주하다 컨트리 가수로 활동...

 

1960년에  "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights"가 전국적인 히트를 기록하고

1974년에 자신만의 음악세계(rhythm & blues and Cajun funk)를 담은

"Before the next teardrop falls"를 발표하여 세계적인 스타로 거듭나게 되었다

 

우리나라에도 2002년에 <La Musica de Baldemar Huerta>라는 앨범이 나왔다.
