Annie Lennox 하면 꼬리표처럼 따라다니는 말이 80년대 중반 Eurythmics의

멤버였다는 것이다. 매끈한 Synth-pop을 무기로 했던 유리스믹스는

당시 "Sweet Dreams", "Here Comes the Rain Again" 등을

히트시키며 뉴웨이브 밴드로서 상당한 성공을 거두었다.

 

1991년 밴드 헤체 이후 Annie는 솔로 활동을 시작하는 데, 과거의 유리스믹스의

음악과는 거리가 먼 성인층을 대상으로 차분하고 성숙한 보컬을 들려준다.

과거 중성적인 매력에서 탈피하여 '이젠 여자가 되고싶어요' 라고 어필하듯

고순도의 팝을 들려준다...
